To promote its “Cheesy Skillets” product, W+K convinced Velveeta to troll auction sites to rescue as many skillets as possible, purchasing 1,001 of them — which they then promptly sent back to their owners, along with a note explaining that they wouldn’t have sold their skillets had they know about Velveeta Cheesy Skillets.
